Wake up 5:30am today, we left some of our luggage in the hotel, so that we can travel more easily. Before we go to Mykonos we still need to spend a night here, so the hotel owner allow us to do so. We arrive in the train station at 6:30am, we still need to wait until 8:21. We bought some local break and biscuit for our breakfast and lunch, cause this train takes at least 5 1/2 hours to reach Kastraki. The sign and info in the train station are fully written in Greek, so very easy to miss out, we almost miss our train.
Along the way the views are really mesmerising, too bad I cannot get down and take some photos. So I couldn’t share it here. This train is six sitter inside a room, like those train in the movie, so happy that I really have the chance to sit on it.
We arrived at 1330, the first thing we do is find the Hobby shop and rent a bike. It cost us 20 for a day. In Greece is left hand drive so I’m a bit not use to the traffic, and we almost met an accident on the way we go up a 45 degree slope. We took 10 mins to find the Alsos house, because is under renovation so we can’t see the sign, luckily someone help us on that. This is a nice hotel compare to Athens one, got a balcony, attach bathroom, kitchen and also breakfast is provided.
Without wasting much time we start our visit to the first Meteora - Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas Monastery
entrance fees are €2 this is the nearest and the smallest among the six, we can have spectacular view from the top, but too bad they are close at 1530, so we just spent our 15 mins there. I was amaze by their architecture, don’t know how they build it, it was totally isolate from the world, they use a ladder or a rope to get up or get down from the monastery before it is open to the public. There’s a rule before you entering the Monestry, the lady must wear skirt and man must wear long trousers.

Great Meteoron Monastery is our next visit, we have to do it today is because it close on Tuesday, this is the biggest and located the highest on the mountain among all, from there you can see Varlaam Monastery and a lot of cats in the monastery, inside got many antic but photography is prohibited, we just took some landscape view outside.

It was quite a heavy rain when we on the way back, I’m soaking wet, luckily my camera bag got protection. It was very cold indeed to ride in the rain, I should listen to my wife to bring rain coat along, because the climate on the hill side change very fast.
After our bath we went to buy some glossary before we have our dinner. Is really convenient to have a bike to move around. We have out dinner in Tabepna, it was recommended by Lonely Planet, most of the restaurant here have their own house wives, their roof is full of grapes, but I didn’t test it tonight, but the food here is really good, and we promise will come again before we leave. It only cost €21 for this delicious meal.
My teeth is fighting on the way I ride back, is really cold at night, I think less than 10 degree. We sleep early today after a tough day we have, tomorrow we can start slow down our paste and relax ourself.
