Wake up at 5am today, and leave our hotel at 5:45. We want to leave early because we are not too sure about the train route, so in case we got it wrong still got time to turn it back.
we arrived in Piraeus at 7am, we need to go to the counter to get our ticket first. During the summer, you need to book it in advance if not is normally full. The ticket is 30.50 Euro, is the cheapest free sitting ticket. The ferry depart at 7:35 and it took 8 hours to reach our destination, quite a long journey. We get a very good seat on the ferry because we arrived rather early.

I never had an experience on a ferry trip in over sea, this is our first time, so is quite exciting, we check out every corner of the ferry and took some photos, if not is really boring to just sit 8 hours there. we stop by Syros and Paros to unload and load some passengers before we arrive in Mykonos at 2pm.

Andreas – the hotel owner pick us up at the dock. I was worry he didn’t show up, but luckily he is a very responsible and generous guy. We love the hotel and the room, because it located right in the center of the happening place and just 50 Euro per night. Without taking any delay, we were getting excited to explore the place……..

The building here got their own style, painted mostly in white and blue. At first I’m not planing to visit this Island because of the limited time, but luckily I didn’t cancel that, if not I will regret for the rest of my life. Ladies for sure will love this place, because is a shopping paradise, my wife get attracted to those shops and refuse to go with me, and we almost quarrel on the first hour in Mykonos.

The first day we already cover most of the town, plan to explore a bit further tomorrow. The beach next to little Vence here was very dirty indeed, almost same like our gurney drive. People just know to enjoy and don’t know how to take care. The windmills are the Icon of Mykonos that is something special to me.

After spending the whole afternoon out there, we get back to the hotel and took a rest before we go for our dinner. We have our dinner in a restaurant name Niko’s, the most expensive one in our trip so far. We order a few dishes and it costs us around 35 Euro, but is still full, you need to queue up. Tonight I decided not to bring my camera along I just want to really relax myself and spend my time with my lovely wife. After dinner we have ice cream for desserts, 5euro for 2 scops, I also bought some Heneiken back to the hotel and Cheers myself. The only thing I feel that was cheap is the beer here…… is real cheap compare to malaysia. We slept quite early tonight cause we woke up too early this morning.
