My name is Jordan Lye Ching Yik, a self-taught Landscape and Nature photographer which base in Penang, Malaysia. I’m a nature lover, Landscape, insects and flowers are my favorite pass time. I also love to travel around the world to see different landscape and culture of each country. I love sharp colour, so my style of photography is try to keep the original colour in most of my photos.
My Landscape images are characteristically made using wide angle lenses, and a tripod is a must to get exceptional depth of field. During my travel, I often wake up earlier than other people most of the mornings, in order to get the beautiful colour and lighting of a landscape.
Macro is another passion of mine, and very much focus in details. Macro is totally different from landscape because most of the time you have to create your own lighting, only the depth of field are in commend. Macro shot often get in the bush or lower ground, so besides shooting you have to keep yourself alert from snakes, caterpillar, lizards etc.
Although my passion are more into landscapes and macro, but my photography experiences are not purely defined by only these two elements.
