This is my second visit to this heritage site, last time was in 2007, it seems has some changes in the exhibition hall. I'm so lucky to have 2 frees entry pass, so I go along with Tommy Chai for this Khoo Kongsi shooting, The Khoo Kongsi (邱公司) is a large Chinese clanhouse with elaborate and highly ornamented architecture, a mark of the dominant presence of the Chinese in Penang, Malaysia

I got a surprise call from Nikon today, they told me that Nikon Japan is interested in one of my photo which I took part in 2008/2009 Nikon photo contest, they will consider it to be in their 2011 calender. If my photo was chosen I get pay USD 300 for my compensation, if not USD 150 also will be paid if my photo was drop by them. I'm feeling top of the world at the moment, is not about the money, is about my achievement. Look forward for that agreement!
Island Archway rock collapses into sea
A large section of the iconic rock formation the Island Archway, on Victoria's west coast, has succumbed to the elements and crumbled into the sea. Parks Victoria believes the fall occurred sometime between 4pm on Tuesday and 9am yesterday.
As its name suggests, the impressive rock formation on the Great Ocean Road resembled an archway rising 25 metres from the sea. All that remains following the collapse are the two rocks that previously supported the arch.
I was fortunate to see and capture this shot in 2007, there is totally a new landscape by now, and this shot will be history too.

Penang Heritage
This week I got some desire to shoot Heritage building in Penang, frankly speaking my oversea photos is actually more than my penang photos. I seldom go out to shoot is because I think that it is not safe, and also I live in penang, day in day out, everything look so normal. I want to collect our penang heritage photo is because penang is under UNESCO now. People around the world purposely come to take photos in Penang, what a shame that I take it for granted. This will be a good collection for future pre-wedding shot. I can propose my customers if I personally went to that place before. Penang City Hall

Once a year the waterfall in Botanical Garden will open for the public viewing in this international water Day. Many photographers waited this once in a year chance to take photos of this amazing waterfall. The main challenge is there won't be a fixed date on the event, we need to go to PBA office or call them up to confirm the date. mostly the date will be fall on the month of April Things turn out to be a little bit different now, after with my previous experience with the waterfall in Botanical Garden, this year I went in the evening. Due to the sun direction, you may get the uneven lighting, especially blow out on the top part of the waterfall. To be able to get a decent shot, you need to have a tripod, cable release, Nd filter and CPL filter. These are the thing I normally carry with me when I'm out to shoot a waterfall.

I can't really sleep for the whole night because of my excitement, so I started my journey a bit early with my mum and wife. When I arrived in the butterfly farm they hinted me I got a good prize but I can't believe myself I actually got 1st prize when they announced the result. I feel fortuned and finally I got payback for the hardwork I did for the past one year. I still remember my mum always scold me when I shoot macro in my garden and even though my wife was not supportive at all. This prize mean a lot to me and it remind me this proverbs " Don't limit a child to your own learning, for he was born in another time. "
