This is my first visit to the garden, It caught my eye 2 months ago when a customer took us for lunch just opposite the lake garden. I was amaze by the landscape there, I believe I can shoot better photos in the early morning, but I’m not purposely to come for the photography so it has to depend on the customer I visit. I also just realize there is actually a zoo inside the garden, is definitely a good place for pre-wedding photos, if you want to know more about this lake garden, you can click here to find out

I got a surprise call from Nikon today, they told me that Nikon Japan is interested in one of my photo which I took part in 2008/2009 Nikon photo contest, they will consider it to be in their 2011 calender. If my photo was chosen I get pay USD 300 for my compensation, if not USD 150 also will be paid if my photo was drop by them. I’m feeling top of the world at the moment, is not about the money, is about my achievement. Look forward for that agreement!

After few years of digital photography and Photoshop editing, I think I have improved my skill from time to time. I dig out some old shots of mine and try on my editing style, I know in digital world, photography skill alone is not enough, nowadays editing skill is a must, and I desperately need to pick up this if I need to compete……..

My second attempt to the same location for the sunrise shot again. This time was join by a few friends. Today shot is slightly better than the previous one, but is high tide at that time, so the reflection will create some blur in longer exposure. Hope you all enjoy the shot

The weather is really hot for these few months, global warming seem getting serious in every corner of the world. But I also appreciate for the current weather, is a good time for shooting sunrise photos because of the clear sky. This time I choose the location which I went 4 years ago, although it change a lot for the pass 4 years, but I still find that the foreground of this place is the best among those places I had been. I personally like the colour before the sunrise, but this golden moment only last for a very short while. I’m not able to get sun because of the cloud. I think I need to revisit again in another week.

After spending almost 1 week at home during the Chinese New Year, finally I can go out and take some fresh air and back in action again. We go in a group of 5 to Marina bay for the sunrise shot, beside us there are also another group of photographers, look like this is a good location for sunrise shot. The “golden moment” is too short, and I just got a few shot which I feel is ok only. I will revisit this place next week.

After the shot, we visited Chiew Jetty, this is my first visit and I’m impressed by those houses that build above the sea. Now they are included in UNESCO. Beside that Kek Lok Si also one of the UNESCO in penang island. I wanted to take a full shot of this mega structure since few years ago, finally I can get a shot from my friend apartment. Hope you all like it.

After further consideration I decided to post all my activities on a single blog, is easier for me to manage and for you all to refer. I will be closing down my other blog soon, at first I just want to put this blog for those wedding photos I took, but I think beside wedding, I like to share my life, my art and my observation on every little things in this beautiful world . I know is a little bit complicated for a blog like this, but what you see in Jordan Lye is actually jordan’s life……….

This is my last shot of the year, I suppose to shoot interior design but I notice the view from the condo is really spectacular and I can’t resist to take a few shot of it. I stop taking photos as my own hobby lately due to my son and also heavy schedule from my works. I hope these photos will let you all know how beautiful our penang is. Please help ourselves to take care of this Island and environment, for the sake of this planet and our next generation.  I love this island.

I try to explore some places which I have never been before after almost staying in this island for more than 11,000 days. First I went to the fishermen village in Jelutong Express way, follow by the protestant cemetery. I find that these two places are good for pre-wedding shot also, but is a little bit scary for those non christian to take photos in cemetery.

It has been raining cats and dogs for the past few days, rainy day always make people lazier and sleepy, but I’m quite active today. Maybe is already Friday.

From my house I can see mist covering most of the hill in Air Itam, so something pop up my mind today, I want to take those mist in Air Itam Dam, mean while I also afraid of land slide and fallen trees. In the end I still decided to go, I invited Tommy to go with me.

Both of us need to carry an umbrella, a tripod and a camera bag, it is a tough shooting session with an umbrella, and the lens always get wet when the wind blow, we need to clean it up with tissue paper for several times. All though this is not a decent shot, but I’m quite OK with it, Feel like in oversea, and a special shooting experience too.
