Taiping Lake Garden

by admin on Jun.01, 2010, under landscape

This is my first visit to the garden, It caught my eye 2 months ago when a customer took us for lunch just opposite the lake garden. I was amaze by the landscape there, I believe I can shoot better photos in the early morning, but I’m not purposely to come for the photography so it has to depend on the customer I visit. I also just realize there is actually a zoo inside the garden, is definitely a good place for pre-wedding photos, if you want to know more about this lake garden, you can click here to find out

My photo is in DCM

by admin on Mar.15, 2008, under personal

I just started to buy this digital camera magazine last 2 months and decided to try on the Mission competition “Low Light”, unfortunately I didn’t get any prize, but I still feel happy to see my photo inside the March 2008 Issue. I will try again next time.

This shot was taken last year during my trip to the Great ocean road. A big storm was about to hit, which make the sky looked so dark. So I consider this is “Low Light” LOL

Hunter Valley & The Entrance

by jordanlye on Jun.30, 2007, under Australia, Travel, landscape, portraits

This is a very good morning, I feel good today because this is the first morning in Sydney. My uncle want to bring us to the hunter Valley and The Entrance. Kenneth promised to come along also but too bad that Eugene and Jeffrey got piano classes, if not it will be more fun if they join the outing.HSE1

We have to delay our schedule because Kenneth took a wrong train, without wasting any time my uncle took us to a small park near by to have a walk first. After an hour we only start our journey when Kenneth arrived. My uncle let me drive all the way to Hunter Valley, upon arrival we stop by the pizza shop to pack our lunch, it will safe us some time.HSE2HSE3pizza 1

We just stop by 2 vineyards this time because of the delay this morning, we still need to rush to the entrance before 3pm to see the pelican feeding. I bought 2 bottles of wine to bring back Malaysia, Actually I plan to buy more for my uncle, but too bad their whole family got allergic, and cannot consume alcohol. We took our lunch outside the vineyard, the weather is so clear and the sky is so blue, is like picnic on a big green carpet. I really enjoy the view more than my food.HV1HV2HV3

The journey to the entrance is more than an hour, and we are just in time for the pelican feeding, everyday 3pm the pelican will gather in the seaside waiting to be feed, the funny thing is how they know is 3pm? This is the amazing of the animal world. During the feeding they also take medical care for those wounded pelican, the Australian really take care of their nature. We spend some time walking along the coast before we went to the next beach.Ent 1ent 7Ent 2Ent 2ENT 5ENT 4

I still remember this Terrigal beach that we going to visit, 2 years ago we had a competition running up the hill, and I’m the champion, but I almost fainted coz lag of oxygen during the run. Now we are not going to repeat that cause the 2 contested not here (Eugene & Jeffrey). We just take our time relax and enjoy the scene.Tri1Tri3Tri4Tri2

The Great Ocean Road

by admin on Jun.26, 2007, under Australia, Travel, landscape

After a night of good sleep we continue our journey to the Great Ocean Road, this is a tough one cause the distance is very far and with a lot of narrow curvy roads.

The weather today is not looking good, it was very cloudy when we reach the enterence of great ocean road, and it made the scene very dramatic. I manage to got a few shots here before the rain came.GOR 2GOR 3GOR 1

After a short distance we stop by the Split point Light house to have a look. The light house build beside a cliff, heard that  is a must visit site when you’re going to the Great Ocean Road. The place is quite big and a treak is read for people to walk around the light house. The seascape is stunning here but the rain make it look very dull.GOR 4GOR 5GOR 6GOR 7

We reach Lorne about lunch time, we took our lunch first before we went to the Eskine waterfall, after lunch my wife went to buy a scarf in a shop, she is longing to get one and finally today she found something that she like. The waterfall only can access by our feet and the road is very slippery and muddy due to the rain, but it worth our effort when we see the waterfall, is very mesmerising.GOR 10GOR 8GOR 9

It took us 4-5 hours drive to reach the 12th apostles, but we did stop by Glenaire a while to take a short break. GOR 12GOR 11

Simon consider driving very fast but we still can’t make it before dawn, the sun already gone down by the time we reach, which mean we just miss out the 12 apostles with a sunset scene. Luckily we will stay here for a night, which mean we still can see it by tomorrow.GOR 13

After we check in our bungalow house we went to the small town near by to buy our food. Luckily we still can get some fish & chips cause the town here is really small and most of the shop close very early. Our “bungalow” hotel was in middle of no where, and the layout and lighting is very similiar like those haunting house, all of us are quite afraid and not dare to go to a place alone, but I still try my luck to shoot some photos outside.Gor 14
